Anita has been a nurse for 35 years, and a massage therapist for nearly 40 years.

She earned her RN and Master’s degree at Mass. General Hospital, and is Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Adult Psychiatry.  She studied Women’s Learning and Development at Lesley University where she earned her BA.

In her many years of practice as a massage therapist, RN, midwife and Nurse Practitioner, she has worked with people of all ages in a variety of settings; homecare, birth-center, nursing homes, hospitals, day treatment centers, clinics, DR’s offices, and family camp.

At a tender place ~ Mind, Body, Spirit Therapies, She focuses on care of the mind through effective, well researched psychotherapy modalities: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal, narrative and short-term solution based therapies.

Anita helps people find the roots of their mental sufferings along with exploring new ways of dealing with old problems and thought forms.

Anita brings the wealth and wisdom of teachings and training on mindfulness and meditation to her work with individuals and groups. These ancient techniques are proven to be effective in helping people find insight, balance and a more peaceful experience of life.

Care of the body is provided through bodywork and energy-work which help release stored tension, pain, and stiffness that accumulates from past experiences and memories. This work can be very invigorating and renewing, as one releases and grounds into the present moment with a fresh awareness of the body.

The third aspect of this holistic model is the care of the spirit. In this aspect of the healing path, Anita works with individuals to help them find their spiritual core. This practice involves the practices of quietude and contemplation, exploring beliefs, feelings and experiences around religious and spiritual aspects of one’s life.
